CEO of Enterprise Holdings Company completes takeover of Lions FC.


It has been the talk of the summer. Lions Gibraltar would join the group of teams in Gibraltar's premier division to have the financial clout to challenge for european positions. In a press conference today, lions gibraltar announced the takeover of the club by Enterprise Insurance CEO, Andrew Flowers.


Briitsh business tycoon Andrew Flowers to complete the purchase of the club via Hercules Sports  Promotion LTD. Flowers had previously been in the running to takeover English Championship club Leeds United before the deal broke down. Lions Gibraltar


confirmed the club and its members will retain a substantial shareholding in the club making this a joint venture


In a press release Lions FC stated they were “very excited about the prospects and opportunity for new and existing players throughout all the levels this relationship will create. the club is very excited at the prospect of the investment and the emerging relationships which will create a solid base for the club as it deals in the transfer windows and negotiations with players in the current squad and new entrants


Furthermore, they stated “this all bodes well for a club whose position last season did not reflect the talent within its ranks, this season and beyond will be a very different challenge as lions will push for the top of the table and european competition. any current or prospective players interested in this project should contact the club.


This news will surely aid the clubs pursuit of top targets, as it had recently been mooted that the club had held talks with Lynx midfielder Rafa Bado. GlacisUtd captain Ashely Rodriguez has also been reported to have pledged his signature to the new Lions project. The club also recently announced the addition of former FC Britannia and Manchester 62 manager Juanlu Perez Herrera. A coach who will continue the good work performed by Jeff Wood at the club.


Should the club be able to bag these players, it could only mark the signs of things to come. with the addition of keeping a hold of some of their most talented youngsters, Green, Garro, Origo and Barnett, Lions could have the signs of a real force in next season Gibraltar Premier division.
